These types of buyer. Supplier Furnished Equipment

Supplier Furnished Equipment (SFE)

In aviation, when an aeroplane is made and delivered it will come with all agreed SFE equipment. The opposite of SFE is buyer furnished equipment BFE, which is installed after delivery by the buyer. Alternative terms are to call SFE forward fit and BFE retrofit. Typically the SFE is elegantly integrated appearing as a natural part of the original system. BFE in contrast often appears to be a late ‘bolt on’ that interrupts the smooth lines and operations of the original system.

The cruzeiro real (CR$, plural: cruzeiros reais) was the short-lived currency of Brazil between 1st August, 1993 and mid-1994. No subdivisions were issued. The cruzeiro real replaced the third cruzeiro, with 1000 cruzeiros = 1 cruzeiro real. Coins were issued in denominations between 1 and 100 cruzeiros reais, with banknotes between 50 and 100,000 cruzeiros reais. The cruzeiro real was replaced by the URV and later by the real at a rate of 1 real for 2750 cruzeiros reais.

Potential Chronoamperometry

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the May 29th, 2007

Chronoamperometry is an electrochemical technique in which the potential of the working electrode is stepped, and the resulting current from faradaic processes occurring at the electrode (caused by the potential step) is monitored as a function of time.

Example

Anthracene in deoxygenated dimethylformamide (DMF) will be reduced (An + e- -> An-) at the electrode surface that is at a certain negative potential. The reduction will be diffusion-limited, thereby causing the current to drop in time (proportional to the diffusion gradient that is formed by diffusion).

You can do this experiment several times increasing electrode potentials from low to high. (In between the experiments, the solution should be stirred.) When you measure the current i(t) at a certain fixed time point τ after applying the voltage, you will see that at a certain moment the current i(τ) does not rise anymore; you have reached the mass-transfer-limited region. This means that anthracene arrives as fast as diffusion can bring it to the electrode.

Property World Intellectual Wealth Organisation

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the May 22nd, 2007

A World Intellectual Wealth Organisation (WIWO) has been proposed as an alternative to the World Intellectual Property Organization. It would be dedicated to the research and promotion of novel and imaginative ways to encourage the production and dissemination of knowledge in ways that enrich mankind.

Granting limited monopolies and limited control over some kinds of knowledge (e.g. with patents, copyrights, etc.) may be part of this new organization’s tool-set, but not the only one, and maybe not even the most important one.

The proposal was published in october 2004. It is inspired by the Geneva Declaration on the Future of the World Intellectual Property Organization and came from the Free Software Foundation Europe, which is dedicated to the enhancement of free software, free content, open content and other forms of libre copyright approaches by the establishment of a new worldwide organization or through a refreshed WIPO.

Estate Base fee

Posted in Uncategorized by admin on the May 11th, 2007

In law, a base fee is a freehold estate of inheritance which is limited or qualified by the existence of certain conditions. In modern property law the commonest example of a base fee is an estate created by a tenant in tail, not in possession, who bars the entail without the consent of the protector of the settlement. Though he bars his own issue, he cannot bar any remainder or reversion, and the estate (i.e. the base fee) thus created is determinable on the failure of his issue in tail.

An example of this kind of estate was introduced by George Eliot into the plot of Felix Holt. Another example of a base fee is an estate descendible to heirs general, but terminable on an uncertain event; for example, a grant of land to A and his heirs, tenants of the manor of Dale. The estate terminates whenever the prescribed qualification ceases. An early meaning of base fee was an estate held not by free or military service, but by base service, i.e. at the will of the lord.

Letters of Administration are granted by a court or probate registry to appoint appropriate people to deal with a deceased person’s estate where property will pass under Intestacy Rules or where there are no executors living (and willing and able to act) having been validly appointed under the deceased’s will. Traditionally, letters of administration granted to a representative of a testate estate are called “letters of administration with the will annexed” or “letters of administration cum testamentio annexio” or “c.t.a.”.

It helps communities launch, sustain and network Independent Business Alliances (IBA). These local alliances work to strengthen and sustain community-based businesses while preventing chains from driving out locals. IBAs also promote citizen engagement over development of their communities.

AMIBA defines a local independent business as:

  • Private, employee, community or cooperative ownership
  • Owned in majority by area resident(s)
  • Full decision-making function for the business lies with its owner(s)
  • No more than six outlets, bases of operation lie within a single state

The organization was incorporated in 2001 by Jeff Milchen and Jennifer Rockne, who previously organized the Boulder Independent Business Alliance (in Colorado), the first such alliance in the U.S.
